IP, IPIR, IPNC, IPCR : Inverted Pyramid Die Collets

The inner inverted pyramidal walls of the Die Collet are used to hold the Die edges during pick-up and die placement. The die will fit into the tool cavity and its position will be automatically realigned with the Die Collet vertical Axis. Depending on the size of the die, different options have been made available in order to minimize die corner contact with the tool. Special reliefs are available under four different Die Collet designations :

 Die Collet Tungsten Carbide Pick-Up Tool

  • IP :      Inverted Pyramid  ( no corner relief) for die size < 0.5mm
  • IPIR :   Inverted Pyramid  Inner Relief Corner for die size between 0.5 and 2.5mm
  • IPNC : Inverted Pyramid  Notched  Corner Relief for die size bigger than 2.5mm
  • IPCR   Inverted Pyramid  Corner Relief for die size bigger than 1mm is a less popular equivalent of type IPNC
