Pickup Tools
Vacuum Pick-Up Tools - Rubber, Plastic, Metallic, Tungsten Carbide or Ceramic
Depending on the sensitivity of the die surface, the contact force or selective contact area will determine the choice of material for your pick up tools. Soft, medium and hard materials are proposed.
A tool designed to pick-up, hold, transfer and place a die or a component on a substrate. The tool may be a replaceable tip only or composed of a body, called shank, adapted to a specific die bonder or pick & place equipment and a tip making the physical contact with the die or device. No matter how sensitive, small or exotic the die, we have a dedicated tool or we are ready to design it.

Wherever standard tools do not fulfill customer requirements, SPT is designing and producing many other special and exotic tools. Examples include parallel compliant tips, spring-loaded assemblies, heat conductive or resistive constructions etc.
SHANK, Steel Tip Holder
Tip holder or body adapted to a specific Die Bonder Head and used normally together with replaceable tips. Most Die Bonders have a dedicated shank geometry and tool length. For replaceable tips, the shank is to be ordered separately while it is part of the tool for a two-piece construction tool.
